Teach the controversy - taktiikka

DiscoveryInstituutin FAQ-sivustolta poimittua:

“3. Should public schools require the teaching of intelligent design?

No. Instead of mandating intelligent design, [organization] recommends that states and school districts focus on teaching students more about evolutionary theory, including telling them about some of the theory’s problems that have been discussed in peer-reviewed science journals. In other words, evolution should be taught as a scientific theory that is open to critical scrutiny, not as a sacred dogma that can’t be questioned. We believe this is a common-sense approach that will benefit students, teachers, and parents.”

Eli pitäisi keskittyä vain evoluutioteorian kohdalla olevia ongelmia. Tämä on Discovery Instituutin virallinen kanta.
Stephen C Meyer ja pari muuta IDeistiä (Discovery Instituutin jäseniä, Stephen on siellä isompi pamppu) ovat tehneet Intelligent Design in Public School Science Curricula nimisen oppaan jonka lopussa neuvotaan seuraavaa:

"Moreover, as the previous discussion demonstrates, school boards have the authority to permit, and even encourage, teaching about design theory as an alternative to Darwinian evolution-and this includes the use of textbooks such as Of Pandas and People that present evidence for the theory of intelligent design."

Eli Älykkään suunnittelun opettamista voisi rohkaista vaihtoehtona evoluutiolle kouluissa.
